Well, I haven’t put up very many posts these days. Therefore here I am on this dark, stormy night, sitting in my room and writing this post. I have a quiz in Cell Biology tomorrow and I hope I can remember my stuff for it. I also have a French Oral exam I am freaking out about. It’s a 3-4 minute skit and my partner and I have not practiced at all for it. I need to have my dialogues memorized for it and I don’t know how that is going to happen before 11 tomorrow, especially with the bio quiz that needs to be studied for. Plus it doesn’t help that all I seem to want to do now is cuddle up on the sofa and watch a lovely period drama, drinking hot chocolate.
So today was my first day back at school; I did everything I do on a typical first day:
- Wake-up at 5:00 a.m. to get to my 8:00 a.m. chemistry class.
- Search around in desperation for my classrooms.
- Sit in the lonely corner in the cafeteria and wonder if any of my friends from last semester are in my new classes.
That is a typical first day for me. I am sure its like that for every college student (I hope so). First days are so important to students, they bring us closer to the goal of graduating with a degree and making a name for ourselves in this world. It is an exciting, yet daunting thought. Because after spending so many years studying, are we really ready for something so completely different??
